we are committed to bringing transformative change to tribal communities through various initiatives focusing on sanitation, women’s empowerment, environmental conservation, healthcare, and sports development. Here are the key areas of our work:
Sanitation and Hygiene
Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, we transformed 9 villages into open defecation-free villages by constructing over 700 sanitary units.
Annual cleanliness drives are conducted in these villages to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
Awareness programs educate communities about the health risks of open defecation and the importance of clean surroundings.
Women Empowerment
Established 162 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to provide tribal women access to government schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
Organized construction training programs to help women gain skills for employment in infrastructure projects.
Conducted workshops on ‘Best Out of Waste,’ teaching women to recycle materials into marketable products, fostering creativity and financial independence.
Special initiatives for widows include creating awareness about government schemes designed for their welfare.
Healthcare Support
Organized over 5,000 blood donations for sickle cell anemia patients in tribal areas, ensuring timely medical support for those in need.
Conducted health awareness drives, focusing on maternal and child health, hygiene, and nutrition for tribal families.
Played a key role during the COVID-19 pandemic by distributing food kits to needy families in Dang and Tapi districts, providing relief during the crisis.
Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ramilaben Raysingbhai Gamit has been instrumental in transforming 9 villages into model examples of cleanliness and hygiene. Every year, she leads intensive cleanliness drives in these villages, engaging local communities to maintain sanitation standards. Through awareness campaigns and community participation, she has ensured sustained cleanliness, making these villages open defecation-free and fostering a healthier living environment for all.
Ramilaben Raysingbhai Gamit has successfully led the plantation of 10,000 trees, contributing significantly to environmental conservation and improving the ecological balance in the region. This initiative not only enhances green cover but also raises awareness among tribal communities about the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ramilaben played a vital role in providing relief to those in need. In the Dang and Tapi districts, she distributed food kits to hundreds of families, ensuring that no one went hungry during the crisis. Her leadership brought hope and support to tribal communities during one of the most challenging times.
Provided construction training for tribal women, equipping them with practical skills to secure employment in the construction and infrastructure sector.
Enabled women to contribute to local development projects, fostering both economic independence and confidence.
These initiatives have opened up sustainable livelihood opportunities for women, helping them support their families and improve their standard of living.
To promote women empowerment, Ramilaben Raysingbhai Gamit has initiated programs to provide women with construction training, enabling them to secure employment in the building and infrastructure sector. Additionally, she has organized workshops on creating ‘best out of waste’ products, teaching tribal women innovative ways to recycle materials into marketable goods. These initiatives have opened new avenues for sustainable livelihoods, boosting economic independence among women in tribal communities.
Sports Development
Encouraged tribal youth to participate in sports, resulting in the village team qualifying for the state-level Tug of War competition under Khel Mahakumbh.
Promotes sports to foster discipline, teamwork, and confidence among the younger generation.
